Elizabeth Hawley

Elizabeth joined Aiken St. Louis & Siljeg, P.S. in 2025.  Her practice focuses on estate planning, trust and estate administration and litigation, including guardianships, probates, trust matters, powers of attorney, and vulnerable adult proceedings.

Elizabeth’s path to a trusts and estates legal practice was shaped by her background in art history and a passion for helping collectors and their families preserve their legacies.

Before entering the legal field, Elizabeth worked closely with private collectors, institutions, and fiduciaries on matters of valuation, provenance, and collection management at museums and auction houses.  Through this work, she developed a deep understanding of the emotional, cultural, and financial significance of art in families’ lives. Her experiences inspired a transition into law, where she could provide holistic and lasting support to those looking to plan for the future.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University in Art History and Political Science. She attended the Courtauld Institute of Art for her Master of Arts in Art History with a concentration in American and European art of the late 19th century through the interwar period of the 20th century.
